Red Bull faith beats Ferrari cash for Vettel

The german confirms his happiness at the wheels of a Red bull; ditching any speculation of a move to the "house of Maranello".

BERLIN, Germany, April 3, 2011 (AFP) - World champion Sebastian Vettel said Sunday it was more important for him to stay with Red Bull, rather than chase a lucrative new deal with their Formula One rivals Ferrari.

Germany's Vettel, 23, became the youngest Formula One champion in history when he won last season's World Drivers' Championship.

He has extended his contract with Red Bull until 2014 and had been in talks with Ferrari before putting pen to paper."Working at Red Bull is like being in a big family with a climate of moral support and confidence," Vettel told Sunday's edition of German newspaper Die Welt.

"That's more important to me than proudly seeing how much I have in my bank account."When you're young, you dream of one day driving one of those red cars and winning races, but the more you get older you mature and your dreams give way to reality."

The next Grand Prix takes place in Malaysia next Sunday.
