July 12th, 2012 (F1plus / Aaron Rook).- Despite his lack of form Maldonado feels that he and the team have the potential to get back to winning ways. "we can recover, I have a lot of confidence in the team and they have confidence in me and we need to keep on pushing".

Since his stunning maiden win in Barcelona Maldonado has remained point-less but believes he and the team have ample time to recapture their early season form "I haven't got any points after the victory, it's frustrating but the championship is long".

Williams recent resurgence has been down to Maldonado's early season performances and without his consistent point scoring the team has felt the knock on effect, with only 4 points scored from two 10th place and one 9th place finish from Bruno Senna.

Maldonado is no stranger to controversy after clashing with Lewis Hamilton in Valencia and with Sergio Perez in both Monaco and Silverstone (for which he was fined and reprimanded). However ignorant he may appear to be he is fully aware of his recent results, but remains optimistic for Germany. " I am passing through a bad and unlucky moment but we have everything in the right place to get some points from the next race".
