Pastor Maldonado drove a pragmatic race and finished 5th, while teammate made the most out of the opportunity to collect 4 points with an eight place.

November 4th, 2012 (f1plus Team).- There are two reason for the Williams team to be happy after this weekend. One: Pastor Maldonado finish fifth to earn 10 valuable points and two; Bruno Senna collected 4 points by crossing the line in eight.

Even management thought that more could have been achieved. "Whilst we are very pleased to have brought both cars home in the points we know we could have had an even better result." Said, Mark Gillan, Chief Operations Engineer.

For sure it looked promising for the Venezuelan after earning the right to start from third, a position he held for a while until Alonso and Webber went past him. Then his KERS unit started to give him trouble and he stayed out of it in the middle of so much commotion around him which pay-off as he drove brilliantly to finish 5th.

"We missed the opportunity to finish on the podium today after we lost the use of KERS following the first safety car period. For sure there was more in the car.

"The pace was good and at the beginning I was closing the gap to Kimi but we still collected some good points today and it was a great race. I feel very motivated within the team.

"We now need to keep the car at the top and I am looking forward to the last two races." Maldonado Said.

The Venezuelan teammate, Bruno Senna, had also a tough challenge in front of him and dealt with it remarkably.

The Brazilian started from 14th on the grid and finished with a impressive 8th in spite a dangerous touch with Hulkenberg at the very start of the race.

"It was a very tough weekend but it had a sweet taste in the end. I had a good start getting myself into a good position for Turn 1 but then a few cars tangled ahead and hit me. I had to start from zero again but I kept my cool.

"There was a lot going on but we had good pace when we needed it and scored some solid points for the team. It is what we are here for and we never give up.

"There is a good energy and feeling now going into the final two races in Austin and Brazil." A positive Senna commented.
