Rosberg wants to move on from 'testgate' issue

The German does not feel the affair has distracted him from his driving duties.

SILVERSTONE, June 27th, 2013 (F1plus/R. Baillie).- Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of weeks you’ll know all about the ‘testgate’ scandal, which came to a head last week in Paris when the International Tribunal ruled that the Brackley based team had broken the rules, however they hadn’t done it with bad intentions.

It’s hard to imagine that life would continue as normal inside a team whose every move is being watched and heavily scrutinized, however that doesn’t seem to be the case.

F1plus asked the young German whether the attention had been distracting, he responded: “The only impact it’s had on me is that I’m answering your questions about this all the time, that’s the only thing that’s been different.”

“It’s not really a problem for me.” He added.

Nico seems to have grown tired of the subject adding that “I would prefer speaking about other things with you.”

He did add that he was glad it was over as now key personnel, such as Ross Brawn, could turn their full attention back to the race season at hand, rather than concentrating on the tribunal. “That’s good that now that’s behind us, also Ross can now fully concentrate again on our development programme.”.

When asked whether Nico was looking to get one over at Hamilton at his home race by winning, he joked: “I already have one over him on my home race, Monaco.”

Speaking about the relationship with his teammate he said: “It’s very good internally because there’s a fantastic atmosphere in the team at the moment, the rivalry between us is very healthy.”
