Pic added that it was important for the team to understand how the tyres will behavior and how they can get most out of them before qualifying.
“One thing we have to watch closely is how the tyre behavior changes as the track temperatures go up and down - they can differ by up to 10°c between FP3 and qualifying so understanding how to get the best out of the tyres in the different conditions is very important.” Pic said.
With only three more races left until the end of the season Caterham are beginning to run out of time to bag a 13th place finish and take 10th place in the constructors’ championship from main rivals Marussia.
