May 19 (Andrés Rojas).- There’s no doubt that the Hispania Racing Team (HRT) has improved, and the Canadian Gran Prix results were motivation influx for the team.

On Sunday the 12th, at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Tonio Liuzzi finished 13th, and Karthikeyan in 18th; these represent the best results on the history of the team so far.

It was comforting to watch the HRT cars racing wheel to wheel and at certain occasions overtaking others, something that did not happen before.

Kolles spoke highly of his co-workers in an interview published by his press team. He declared: “This is just the result of people, within the team, working very hard. The team in itself is a strong team with a lot of dedicated people who give their 100% and work very hard. We are a small team but very efficient.”

Now the focus is in two different albeit critical objectives: pass Lotus in the constructors’ championship standings and start working on the car for 2012 as soon as possible.

This will be difficult, since turning the attention to a still distant next season when resources are limited might have an impact on current performance.

Nevertheless, it’s understandable the team’s approach. In its two seasons, HRT has struggled to be prepared ahead of time and to run an appropriate testing programme. Logically, HRT Principal Colin Kolles intention is to avoid falling into the same situation.

"We start work In July in the Mercedes wind tunnel," Kolles told. "We will switch very soon to the 2012 car."

As for the immediate plan to take move in the standings table, Kolles commented: “There are still a lot of races left this season. We want to improve our results and achieve our target of being 10th in the constructor’s championship.
