24th May, 2014 (F1 Plus / Rosie Baillie) - After struggling with traffic for most of the session Lewis Hamilton went fastest around the streets of Monaco during Free Practice 3.
The Briton put the fastest lap in (1:16.758) towards the end of the session on the supersoft tyres after struggling to get the most of out of the car for most of the session due to traffic.
Daniel Ricciardo was best of the rest and finished just 0.050s behind Hamilton with teammate Sebastian Vettel going third fastest. Towards the end of the session it looked like Vettel might be able to set the fastest lap but was held up by traffic.
Nico Rosberg was fastest for most of the session but dropped down to fourth towards the end. The Mercedes driver missed some running in the latter part of the session when he spent some time in the garage with suspension issues.
The Force India’s were next with Sergio Pere finishing sixth and Nico Hulkenberg seventh fastest.
Jean-Eric Vergne was eighth fastest and had a last minute excursion when he ran off at Ste Devote. The Frenchman rejoined the track and then went on to bring out yellow flags at Mirabeau.
Vergne’s teammate Daniil Kvyat was 10th fastest, followed by both McLarens with Kevin Magnussen 11th and Jenson Button 12th.
The Williams duo finished side by side also; Valtteri Bottas finished 13th ahead of teammate Felipe Massa followed by Adrian Sutil and Romain Grosjean.
Jules Bianchi finished 17th, fastest out of all of the backmarkers, followed by Pastor Maldonado, Esteban Gutierrez, Kamui Kobayashi, Max Chilton and Marcus Ericsson.
