SILVERSTONE, 6th July 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Kimi Raikkonen has been given the all clear after a 47G crash on lap one of the British Grand Prix.

The Ferrari driver ran wide and hit a bump as he rejoined the track and skidded across the Wellington Straight before hitting the barriers in an impact that measured 47G.

Raikkonen was taken to the medical centre and was deemed okay and had a precautionary x-ray on his right ankle, which the team said was bruised.

Before the end of the race Ferrari tweeted that Raikkonen was leaving the track and seemed okay.

Kimi is leaving the track. He seems ok!” the Maranello based team Tweeted.

The team reported that Raikkonen was concerned for former teammate Massa and that the first thing he said after the impact was 'Is Felipe alright?'

The impact damaged the crash barriers, which delayed the race by an hour as stewards tried to fix it.

Felipe Massa swerved to avoid the out of control F14 T but made contact with it, damaging the left rear of his car which resulted in him retiring from his 200th race.
