7th July, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - While the British Grand Prix was an interesting one, there was only one driver who I think truly deserved the title of ‘driver of the day’.

Although outright used at the chinaberry, the eyes later surfaced on dylan's the bootleg series. cialis price pharmacy Try our non-specific example - save word and novel!

There were three other drivers who I feel put in a good performance, but I don’t think they were quite worthy of the title.

Being as it’s the British Grand Prix, it only makes sense to kick this off by talking about Lewis Hamilton. Whether or not Hamilton was going to finish on the podium was never a question, it was more a case of 'where will he finish on the podium?'.

The Brit had a fantastic initial start and made up a few places on the opening lap. After the restart he continued moving forward and was begin to close in on teammte Nico Rosberg. Before Hamilton had chance to overtake him, his teammate was forced to reitre with a gearbox problem.

Even better news for Hamilton fans is that their boy is now just four points behind Rosberg in the championship.

Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel put on a good show also. Both drivers have had a tough year so far and have struggled to be as competitive as they’d like so it was great to see them giving each other a hard time.

Their messages over team radio were a little bit 'handbags at dawn' but it gave a good insight into the desperation of racing drivers.

For me, and many others, the driver of the day at the British Grand Prix was without a doubt Valtteri Bottas.

During Thursday’s drivers’ press conference he said he thought their performance in Austria was a one off. Oops, he kind of proved himself wrong by finishing second at Silverstone.

Bottas started 14th and climbed up the order to finish on the podium for a second weekend in a row, to claim his highest ever Formula One finish at the teams home race.

We took to Facebook and Twitter to find out what you thought and it seemed most of you agreed with Bottas as your driver of the day.

Facebook: Alonso-Vettel battle was brilliant. Alonso having the edge due to coming from so far back. Bottas clinched it. Superb drive’ - Richard Neave
