Albers pleased by Caterham's progress

New team principal is happy with the team’s improvement over the past two races

22nd July 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Caterham’s new team principal Christijan Albers says he is pleased with the team's progress.

Albers took over as team principal just before the British Grand Prix and says he's happy with how the team have improved since then.

The Dutchman added that the team will be making small step forwards at the factory and on the track.

“We now have completed two races since taking over the team and I have to say I am pleased with the progress we are making,” Albers said.

“In Germany the gap to our competitors was closer than it has been for several races and we are definitely aiming to continue that progress in Hungary.

“We can keep making small but significant improvements across the whole team, both on track and at the factory, and they will contribute to our ongoing development.“

At the German Grand Prix last week Caterham driver Kamui Kobayashi finished 16th and Marcus Ericsson 18th.
