SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, 21st August, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Sergio Perez says if Force India are to score a podium finish it needs to be in the next two races.
The Mexican driver said the next two races [Belgium and Italy] should be strong for Force India and intends to make the best of them.
“I think the next two races should be good for us in terms of the engine,” Perez said.
“We should have a good advantage so I really hope we can make the most out of these two coming races.”
“I think if we are going to do any podiums it needs to be in these two races so we need to give everything in these two and lets see if we can reach it again.”
Force India are currently fifth in the constructors’ championship just one point ahead of McLaren.
Perez hopes they can retain their position and move forward.
“I hope we stay in front of McLaren and why not, we can move forward,” he said.
