MONZA, September 4th, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Valtteri Bottas says he is targeting his fifth podium finish of the year at the Italian Grand Prix.

Bottas finished third in Austria and Belgium and second in Britain and Germany.

The Finn doesn't see any reason why he can't finish on the podium again in Italy and says the track suits the Williams.

"Well that should be the target," Bottas said when asked if he felt a podium was possible. "We don't see any reason why it would not be possible, so we're aiming for that."

"We know it's a good place for us, one of the good ones. We do have good straight-line speed and a special package for here, as I'm sure everyone does.

"I'm really looking forward to this one and I really think Sunday will be good fun."

The Williams driver feels they need to improve their pace and grip to finally take a win.

"I think by pure pace, it is going to be really, really difficult," Bottas said.

"We already have a good straight-line speed but all areas including, especially the corners, getting more grip into the car is the main thig really. We're working on that. It's still a long season to go, so let's see.

Bottas has had a strong second season in Formula One and is currently fifth in the drivers' title with 110 points. His efforts so far have helped Williams climb to fourth in the constructors' title, just 10 points behind Ferrari.
