Since watching Senna, Mansell, Prost and Schumacher battle it out at the top level of motorsport, I have been enthralled by Formula One. The detail that goes into designing and building the cars, added to the commitment required to drive them on the limit, transforms all involved from everyday people into heroes.

As of 2012, I race a 125 superkart in South Africa, which gives me some small insight into what it is to be a racing driver. Racing is a thrill, a challenge, and a joy - the freedom that comes with putting on a helmet and stepping into a car is unparalleled in my experience.
