Even though I started watching F1 at a time when Michael Schumacher ruled the podium, my passion for the sport began with Ayrton Senna. I watched his races on video and read about him incessantly, drawn to his fiery zeal, trying to make peace with the fact that I never watched him race when he was alive. I continued down the F1 road and immersed myself in its history and its people. I love every minute of it. I thrive on the races, the strategy, and the circuits. Superbikes hooked me soon after and, as they say there was no looking back.
Then, a few months ago, I finally decided to do something about my passion. I realized it was time to combine my love for writing with motorsports. I now, hold down a regular job in a publishing house and spend all my waking time blogging or obsessing over my blog: Riding Fast and Flying Low. I write on F1, MotoGP, and WSBK races.
I have my biases no doubt. I adore Bruno Senna, Jenson Button and McLaren. Valentino Rossi, Cal Crutchlow and Nicky Hayden make me jump up and down during a race. I love the sounds of a Kawasaki or an MV Agusta. And on race days, I am at my sunshiny best.
