Septemebr 30th, 2013 (F1plus/J. Leslie).- It is old news Force India in the second half of the season, reason why any point finish possibility is treasured as a big thing, and when that disappears just few laps from happening it comes as a emotional blow.

As expected, Paul Di Resta has admitted that the disappointment of crashing out of the Singapore Grand Prix is "still quite fresh."

The Scot was looking on course for a solid points finish but collided with the barriers at turn seven shortly before the end of the race.

He was unsure what happened after the race, saying: "I’m still not sure what happened, but I took the corner the same way as I had done the previous lap and the car went straight on and wouldn’t stop."

However, he is back and ready to fight for a good result at the next round of the season in Korea. He is a fan of the Korea International Circuit and is hoping that the team can reverse their woes on the medium compound tyre.

Discussing the Singapore Grand Prix he said in a team statement: "The disappointment still feels quite fresh. When you have a race like that you just want to get back in the car as soon as possible.

"After the race I went back to Europe for some training and to get myself ready for the final push of the season. October will be the busiest month of the year so it was good to have some quality time at home before we spend the next couple of months travelling."

Looking ahead to this weekend's race, he was more positive: "It’s an unusual track, but definitely a place that I enjoy driving. The three sectors are all very different with long straights linked by hairpins, some high-speed corners and a slower technical part of the lap."

He added: "The tyre choices are the same as in Singapore so it will be interesting to see how they perform. We’ve always gone well on the super-softs, but struggled more on the medium compound so hopefully we can switch it on this weekend."

Team-mate Adrian Sutil believes that the challenging corners at the Korea International Circuit could create some interesting strategies: "I quite like the track and I'm looking forward to it. The circuit has a nice layout and a nice flow in the second part of the lap with some high-speed corners. Let's see how the super-soft performs because the corners are very hard on the tyres. That could open up some interesting strategies."

Meanwhile team principal Vijay Mallya's aim for the season still remains, he wants to beat McLaren: "The objective has not changed. McLaren have a points lead over us, but they are not totally out of reach. As I’ve said before, turning on the tyres is paramount and we are working hard to achieve this. There are a lot of points on offer and we need to try and regain the performance level we showed in the first part of the season."
